Santosha

I have worked in the software industry for 10 years.. I have never seen people write poetry to share how a piece of software has touched them.. Till today..

On 1st Jan 2020, a group of young volunteer engineers in the Isha IT team worked together to launch "Santosha" - a software dream of many years for Isha ...Today, after 7 months of usage, we are seeing so much impact.. This below poem was shared by a volunteer from Tamil Nadu West region. 


Alone I was..
You found many kinships for me

All these new kins..
you made them look within

'Looking within', this aspect...
you made it very intense

The intense being that I am...
you made me do many deeds

The deeds that i did...
but you made me understand them

You made me understand...
and gave me only happiness ("Santosham")

Maybe because of this you came to me as "Santosha"

This is too overwhelming .. The only thing that we can do now is to rededicate our lives to use technology in raising human consciousness...🙏

I was dropping off S for one of her meetings. The conversation meandered into how some of our volunteer friends were talking about me leaving IYC. S was observing that we would have never got married if I was not a Isha teacher at that time. She also observed how my deciding to move to Blore was kind of thrust upon her. Himalayan Memoirs: Anbe Sivam

Prelude:  The following was written almost 5 months into my self-imposed exile. It was written while I was staying in an ashram in a small village called Ganeshpur somewhere in the upper reaches of Tehri Garhwal . I spent my time working in the kitchen as a self-appointed cook. ------------------------------------------------------------------ It was a rare moment. Rare indeed is a moment when you clearly realize that you have lost it. It was almost 5 months since I have been off the grid. The first 4 months were really good. I had fun.
